DHL's Kegworth Depot Teams Up with Derbyshire Toy Libraries

We’re delighted to share some exciting news: colleagues at DHL Supply Chain | Perkins Engines, Kegworth, are getting behind Derbyshire Toy Libraries with a workplace toy collection. 🧸

A special thank you goes to Andrew Lawson, Shift Manager at DHL, who took the time to search for a local charity where unwanted toys could make a real difference.

When we asked Andy how he’d heard about us, he explained that Derbyshire Toy Libraries stood out as being:

“Local, community orientated and worthy re cycle option.”

What a lovely endorsement of the work we do!

For over 26 years, Derbyshire Toy Libraries has been giving preloved toys a new lease of life, making play more accessible, reducing waste and supporting families and communities across Derbyshire.

What colleagues are donating

DHL colleagues are being encouraged to donate good-quality, preloved toys that are ready to be loved and enjoyed all over again.

Every suitable toy donated could help us:

  • Expand our toy library lending stock and themed play packs
  • Raise vital funds to support our charity
  • Support other charities, schools and community organisations
  • Reduce waste by giving toys a second life

A huge thank you

A huge thank you to Andy and everyone at DHL for choosing to support our small, local charity. It means so much when businesses recognise the value of what we do and take the initiative to support their local communities.

We’re incredibly grateful that Andy and his colleagues are putting their time and effort into organising this collection, with donations due to be dropped off with us in the week ending 18 December 2026.

Because every toy deserves another adventure, and every child deserves the opportunity to play.
