“We take our daughter to the Stay and Play at Belper Community Hall. There are so many different kinds of toys for her to play with, and it's a great opportunity for her to be around kids of different ages. She loves the singing at the end!”

    Kendal Greaves (2019)

“We hired a selection of baby and musical toys, Duplo, ride-ons and a tunnel for a first birthday party. Everyone commented on how much of a great selection there was for the babies to play with, and they were in great condition too. It was really easy to collect and drop off the toys and staff were super helpful and made it all really easy! Thank you Derbyshire Toy Libraries!”

    Chloe O’Hora (2018)

“I have been going to the Toy Library now for around 4 years, and it has been an absolute joy for all of my three children. The people who run it and all the volunteers are kind and welcoming, the toys are fun and varied (with the added benefit of being able to borrow the toys if you are a member) and the other mums are a fantastic resource for help and just a good old natter!”

    Carol Billinge (2017)

“Great variety of toys with the bonus that you can just give back when baby gets fed up or bored with them. The ladies who run it are very friendly and helpful.”

    Emma Proctor (2017)

“My little boy and myself love going along to Toy Library. We especially love the healthy snacks and singing at the end. They have a wide variety of toys and we have hired some exciting toys ourselves! A lovely friendly group to pop along too.”

    Joanna Leigh (2019)

“We have been attending the toy library for just over 2 years. It's a nice friendly group and my son loves it. We have hired various toys including a slide, garage, ride on cars and a sensory basket. Lots of choice of toys to hire.”

    Linda Swain (2016)

"I spent almost a year volunteering with Derbyshire Toy Libraries which was extremely useful and enjoyable. The experience helped me to develop interpersonal skills, and these will be incredibly useful for future workplaces.
The staff are lovely and you automatically feel like a key member of the team. There are also some great opportunities to help young children and parents during Stay & Play sessions. I would definitely recommend volunteering at Toy Libraries as it is very rewarding work."

    Catherine Dukes

"My favourite thing is playing with all the different cars."

    Chloe Slater, aged 3

"Having recently moved to the area I was looking to get out with my son to a parent and child group. Luckily I stumbled upon the Derbyshire toy library Stay & Play. I felt really welcomed by the ladies that run the group and the group as a whole was really warm and friendly. My son loves the variety of toys and the singsong at the end, not to mention snacktime!"

    Ruth Griffiths

    Linda Philo

"We all love discovering a new kind of toy each time we come to play – and then taking it home!"

    Sophy Barnes

"Mya loves being able to run around and play with lots of different toys. I like the friendly staff, the healthy snack for Mya and the cuppa for me whilst chatting to all the other parents."

    Lauren Holmes

"Joseph and I love the friends we have made through Derbyshire Toy Libraries."

    Sarah & Joseph Morton
